Dr. Kaplan is author of two books in the Peterson Field Guide series entitled Guide to Coral Reefs of the Caribbean and Florida and Guide to Southeastern and Caribbean Seashores, as well as Sensuous Seas: Tales of a Marine Biologist, in addition to several textbooks written during his long career as a Professor of Biology at Hofstra University.
